Your ok with the 9U-up Operators Manual and service manual but you should look for the Parts Manual that you know will cover your s/n.
Comes in 9U1-13262 and 9U13263-29764.

Hi Roger, I just looked at your post over on ACME for the Operators Book only which I'll send you free, I have a D6 Servicemans Reference Book here too you can have free though it just has written D6 on the front cover, someone has hand written 8-9U next to the D6, so I'm assuming it is good for you, Form # is 30027 if someone can confirm that is for 8U-9U please, I also might have a Parts Number book for you if you let me know the serial number.
Regards
Mike

hey mike,

that would be swell, serial number of the tractor is 9u4620sp, so the low serial number parts book will work. The engine Serial number is 9U6222 and the low serial number books work for it as well.

servicemans reference for 4r 5r and 8u 9u tractors is basically the same. only difference on the different models is late 8u's and 9u's have a wet clutch. and all 8u's and 9u's have the d318 diesel instead of the d4600. Easy to distinquish the difference of the diesels as the intake manifold is on the left of the d318 and it has a cross flow head design, the D4600 has the intake and exhaust manifolds on the same side of the head on the rh side of the engine.

Any body else that has offered up books, please pm me with prices.

Hey Roger, you don't need no prices from nobody else, Ol Donkeyhead Downunder has you covered, I'll send you this set of D6 books free if that's what you need, it's the least I can do after you and Arla busted your buns at our place 2 years ago, the old RD6 you worked on is still running sweet, the huckleberry jam you guys introduced to us was sweet as, best jam we ever ate Anna the Saint said, and that 5 tons of firewood Arla lumped is still warming the house, you guys are a great example of the wonderful antique Caterpillar family around the world.
I'll get the books in the mail tomorrow, Rodger that Roger.

Just got back from town Roger, the books are on their way so it will be interesting to see how long they take to get there, I've sent a larger Parts Number book I found for the 9U that has all the generator and attachment parts info in it too, it is the 9U1-9U13262 book, the other book I grabbed first and photographed was only the thinner basic Parts Number book 9U1 Up, not good enough for you.😖mile:
Hopefully they arrive safely.

There is another parts book for 8U1up 9U1up Titled D6 tractor attachments form 10609.
56 pages with all sorts of goodies for 8U 9U tractors.
Belt pulleys, bumper bars, tow hooks, cab, guards, spark arrester, hydraulics, electrics wish I could find a few of these bits.
