I have two heads and (5) radiators (three have RD4 on the tank and two have the badge on the side). If you can't
find parts local I can help but freight can kill the deal. Karl 530-282-4922 Oroville Ca

The one I have is cracked and most of the valves are rusted and shot. So ideally a good one would be one that I can use or put a little money into and use. I have a 1944 D4 that use to have a trackson hoist and blade on the front and on that back it has a "Ottawa" Backhoe . I have only seen this one and one other about 15 years ago so its so rare I cant bring myself to let it go to scrap and not fix it(my wife thinks im crazy for fixing a pile of rust) . I had to save it. =)

All our wives think we are crazy trying to save these old Cats old-iron77, but that's better than some fella's hobby of catting all over town at night or blowing hard earned cash on horse racing or at the Bar each night surely.......😛arty:

Be patient and keep this thread fresh, a good head will come up near you in no time, they made a lot of those D4's
Good luck
Mike

You say it's a 1944 model which would make it a late 2Txxxx s/n. with large rear hubs.
That series would use the large hex key/wrench to remove the pre-com chambers.

Old mag, my apologies for the confusion. Due to my typing skills with fat fingers I typed 1944 instead of 1945. Which is what this is, which is also a 5T-210. The guy that had it before me cut the top of the trackson loader steel off and then placed hydraulic cylinders on the front to move the blade up and down. I guess he got tired of leaning to the right to see around all that steel over the radiator

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
