I have a set of rails and pads for your tractor .They have worn pins and bushings. I replaced them with a rebuilt set and they have lain in the pasture since. I am located in southern Manitoba.

That's got to be an early Trackson serial No. for D4 ....My best guess from pictures
Trackson (coined the name Traxcavator) made Attachments for some Cat D2 & Cat D4 base 7U units until c.6/1950 when Cat bought Trackson.. Cat continued using the Trackson name till early 1955, when Cat came out with a line of of its own - "Traxcavators" 933, 955, 977.. with longer five (5) roller track, longer rails and the osculating support spring became solid to support the added weight and weight lifting capacity to the front on the machine. Low profile grousers (1's 2's, and 3's grousers) also helped with turning and wear on pads and undercarriage longevity. One attachment was a sidedump bucket. It

Seriously Manitoba is Gods Country , I went through there in hummm 1964, I think it was in November... I just drove across the western Provinces of Canada through the Yukon Territory and down through BC headed down to Washington State and then a quick U-turn back to Alaska .....
