Guys ,

I paid for a complete supposed to be rebuilt motor and got shafted by the individual he never sent it to me but stole my money. SO

I am in need of either a complete engine D318 Wet clutch grader motor, Mine is a 70D 3223 Cat 12, Or a BLOCK to include the oil pan for grader wet clutch motor, CRANK wet clutch grader motor, and ONE complete rod assembly.

If any of you know what or have access to the casting numbers that would work for me , that would help me in my search.
I really do not want to scrap the ole girl.

? Will can i fit any other engine to the machine ? has anyone done this? Being a wet clutch machine i believe narrows my options.

Thanks

Graderless in Alaska.

Yes, you are limited with the oil clutch version. I haven't done it or know who has but it would seem you could convert back to a dry clutch version like what was used in the early 8T's.

Seems the last time I was in Versailles, MO at Zimmerman's Tractor I saw a D318 motor that was set up for a grader. I think it was a dry clutch but it was complete. As with any salvage yard it could be complete today and missing parts tomorrow. He can be a bit difficult to deal with on the phone but his number is 573-378-7210. I priced a complete air cleaner and pipe to connect it to the intake manifold for a 9UD6 over the phone and he quoted $400, but the next time I was there I made an offer for one that was less than perfect but could be straightened and he took $100 for it and the connecting pipe, saying he is a bit more reasonable in person. I suspect shipping from Missouri to Alaska would almost be cost prohibitive, but depending on what your budget might be, if you are interested the next time I'm there I will ask. Maybe some pictures? bboaz

Thank you much, Yes i will call Monday and see what he has. I need to make a trip to Thayer Missouri anyway to visit a old friend.

If you have time to stop by and snap a pic that would be great.

Thanks

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
