I am cleaning house and have a small pallet of D2 5U bottom rollers and bearing mounts. They look to be in good shape and I will send a picture a picture if interested. Any reasonable offer, I just don't want to scrap them.

I know right Dan!
Packrat, can you please measure the rollers for wear. You want to measure the outside diameter of the surface that the track rails run on, in a couple of different spots on each roller - they may not all be worn the same amount. You're pretty close to me so I could come pick them up if they're what I need.

Neil,
I am out of town until Monday. I will do that and hold them for you. There are 4 double flange rollers and 1 single flange. I am not an expert but they sure do not look worn at all to me. I don't know how to post a picture. Talk to you Monday afternoon.

It may be simpler to measure the circumference and then compute the average diameter--if the shafts, bearings and seals are good the easiest repair is building up the diameter with weld.

Neil,
OK, I just got home and measured them with a simple caliper and tape measure. I'm sure my accuracy is within 1/16". The 4 double flange rollers are 6 7/8", 6 15/16", 6 7/8", and 6 7/8". They are relatively flat across the surface and don't look too worn to me. The single flange does look a little worn but measures 6 15/16" but not straight across the surface. The flanges on the single flange roller are 5/16" thick and 3/16" thick. There are 16 bearing housings with bushings but no seals. Neil, if you are close by and can pick them up you can have them for nothing.

Hey Neil---I'll go half on the cost if you don't need them all---just need a couple of double flange.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
