Hi Daniel,
can only help with bearing conversion numbers.
Local bearing shop should be able to locate these, although the long inner race for the pilot bearing could be a problem--others were going to try two short races back to back and one shortened to suit--should work.

1B3738 converts to Hyatt :- complete Brg. SC-403, or, roller ass. SRA-403 and outer race OR-304. See scan below and save this to your files for future reference.

1B4099 converts to ND(New Departure) :- 20209.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

I used two shorter pilot bearing inner races back-to-back in my 5U. Bearing guy said folks do it "all the time". Other option someone mentioned on here was plain bearings rather than roller.

Ok, it's a thread hijack, but a question for EDB, do you have a conversion of this needle roller bearing (4B5353)? It's used on the steering clutch bell cranks for all the D2's.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
