I'm looking for a pony motor or parts. I have one motor but it doesn't have the mounting bracket for the front end, or the manifold for the rear end.
If you need to call me I'm at 502-477-2333...or post an answer and I'll look for it ....They say the 14-A and 15-A and the D-7 all have the same pony motor.
A good friend had a good pony motor that came off this tractor but he sold it for scrap! I hate that! And I also need the crank......

Thanks,

Red

I'm with you, Red. I hate it when an irreplaceable, useable piece of history gets sold for scrap-the couple of bucks netted can't compare to the cost of the loss...even if someone hates pony motors, the principle still applies.

Could you post some pics of your pony and where it mounts on the diesel engine? ...might help better identify what you need.

thanks

I will have a complete pony for a 2U series D8 as soon as I remove it to install my new rebuilt pony. It has one cylinder that fowls the plug within 30 seconds, otherwise it is complete and runs. I know the 2U and the 3T D7 use the same pony but do not know if they fit the 14A and 15A, etc.

Gemdozer, if you can find the front bracket 4h5240, let me know what you want for it...

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
