I have a 955h track loader, serial# 60A4776 and I am looking for a turbo that will work on it. The old turbo is not repairable and I am having trouble finding one. The original OEM# is 8M0019. The turbo modle is 4A351. Does anyone no where I can find one or if a different one can be installed with an adapter plate.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Run a part number search on Machinery Trader. There are two places that have one.

Might try here....http://www.turbosupply.net/bwcartridge.html
Don't know anything about them.
The 8M0019 is a model 4A-351 Borg Warner/Schwitzer unit.
They list a cartridge for it but who knows on actual availability.

The machinery trader site does not have a turbo, they will only reman the old one. The housing on mine is destroyed.
Does anyone know of a turbo off of a dillerent machine that could be adapted to the 955?

Thank You

That turbo was used on serial numbers 60A3222 to 60A4789. Try some of these guys who have dismantled 955Hs, a lot of times they won't list individual parts by numbers in Machinery Trader. I see a couple in that serial number range and I've dealt with Utah Track before:

http://www.machinerytrader.com/list/dismantledsearch.aspx?ETID=3&Manu=CATERPILLAR&Mdltxt=955H&mdlx=exact

Also, the way I read it in NPR is that this 8M0019 replaced the 7M7254 turbo from 60A1 to 60A3221. I would think that turbo would work also. Old Magnet can confirm if I'm right or wrong.

7M7254 shows up as "Oil system G. Turbo Field Changeover"

The 60A turbo progression from my parts books shows

7M0166 60A1-up (not a complete s/n coverage)
9M7524 60A5000 to 60A8412
2S7363 60A8413 to 60A10610
2S3512 60A10611-up

Also shows a 8M0019 interchanges with a 7M0166

So, I'm thinking the 8M0019 is either shown in the 60A1-60A4999 series which I don't have complete parts book coverage for or the 8M0019 is already a substitute model.

As far as other fits I'd try moving up the s/n range and see if there is a unit available.

Yes, Old Magnet has it right. I looked at the info wrong in SIS and didn't catch the Field Installation.

It shows 7M7254 to be a Field Installation from 60A1-1899.

It does show 7M0166 to be used from 60A1-3221.

The 8M0019 shows to be the replacement turbo for the 7M0166 from 60A1-60A3221 and the 9M7524 from 60A3222-60A4789 in NPR.

Thank you very much for the info. At least I have some new numbers to work with and I hope that I can find one that will work.

Thanks again and I will keep you posted.
