Being disgusted with the interior of the tank on my D4 I decided to convert to a plastic tank. There are many available with 1/4" barb fittings. I plumbed with 1/4" fuel hose and plastic shut off valve and see through inline filter which are available on Amazon by the dozen very cheap. I have always stayed away from inline filters because I feared they were for fuel pump system. These are for ATVs which are gravity. It all works well and the pony is a one pull starter. The biggest problem we have now is the original filter bowel shut off is no longer available. The screen is usually missing and they do not filter well at best. These little ATV filters are easy to inspect and change. I am thinking of going back to the original tank, just cleaning it out as well as I can and depending on the filter to keep the gas clean.
