Its been a few years since I got it, and I dont remember how I got 1959. Thank You for correcting that. Where can I verify that? I have another D-2 I am selling and i hate to get that wrong too.

can you explain the added gizmo's on the pads!--appears to be small round rods staggered added to each pad on each side but the left side seems to have something added to the grouser? would this be for ice on a steep side slope??? :confused2:

They were on it when I bought it in New Hampshire. I was told it was used by Loggers..aside from that I dont know. They never gave me any problems so I left them on.

Yes those add-ons are most likely for winter work, helping to keep the machine from sliding sideways so easy on frozen ground and ice. Old timers around my area call those caulks (pronounced "corks") and they are still rather common to see on logging equipment today. The only other thing I would expect to see on a winter working machine is snow relief holes cut into the track pads, but this one doesn't have them.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
