1936 D4 Dozer S/N 4G1046
Last run approx. 20 years ago and worked functionally ok at that time.
My Dad purchased for $4500 in the 1990s and later we had 1 connecting rod came loose and put a hole in the block. An identical replacement 1950s motor grader engine block was obtained and it was rebuilt (rings, pistons, bearings, crank ground, seals, etc). Head may also have been worked on but i dont recall right now, may have notes somewhere on that. Only put on only a few hours since the lower overhaul. Been in an open shed with a roof. Pony motor also was running as of 20 years ago but no doubt would need a clean up as well.
When it ran, it missed for a while on 1 cylinder when cold but stopped missing after warm up.
I had removed the injector pump to get it checked and rebuilt but never got this done.
So Injector pump and decompression rail not installed but I have both as well as a service manual.
$4000 - may entertain a reasonable offer. With Dad gone would like to have it go to a good home.
Located in North Iowa near Mason City.
Hello,
Not sure if you still have the D4.
