Parked the Best 60 in back of the shop 6 years ago. Next time I tried to bar it over engine was stuck with no movement. been thinking about pulling the heads off. Finally yesterday my helpers are now big enough to work on the 60! Found number 1 Piston stuck have it soaking. Might need to pull off the jug and press it free.
How do you think it got stuck after running, leaky head gasket?
No leaks. This engine always had a hard spot in it to bar over. Now I know where the problem is. getting the heads done too.

Skinner - Thank You for keeping the pictures coming, I was a little late for working Sixty's but Dad resurrected two of them from the graveyard, they were a long way from show perfect but they ran. I have fond memories of his Sixty, it was very hard for me to let it go. Glad to see you have a new generation willing to work on it and have it running again. - cts
Update. After soaking with ATF & acetone was able to free the piston with a block of wood and sledgehammer found a rusty spot. Where rings were sticking. some rings rusted to the piston also. Was able to clean the rings replaced a few. Honed the cylinder. Put the piston back in the cylinder and connected to crankshaft. Don’t have the heads on but now the crankshaft and pistons turns over easily with the fan blade. Should make for an easy starting tractor which it never was before. Skinner
