I am going to try to pullstart an old D6, which has been parked for years. Nobody knows exactly how long it has bees sitting still, but lets guess 10 years or so..
The previous owner was a smart man, and filled the fueltank to the brim, so that no moisture can build up in the tank.
Now I wonder if the diesel might be bad from sitting in the tank all these years? Do I need to change it for fresh fuel before I try to start the D6?
In my opinion, if it is FULL, drain some out of the bottom, see if algea, water, rust or crud comes out. If if seems clear, then run it! Quality wise, its probably better than the short shelf life fuel that is available now.

I'd be sure to check the engine oil for water too....hate to start it up and suck a buch of water through the bearings. Same for trans and final drives.
