I went to an electric motor shop and was able to find some that fit after I worked them over a little, they seem to work fine. There is the problem of different brushes being of differnt hardnesses, But I ignored that. Also Google Branson Enterprises and see if they have some.
Thanks
Ken

If you wanted to make them yourself, I would try the carbon EDM electrode material, its very fine grained, & can be turned easy.

Irv Baker gave me a handfull of rods in diff dia. that I just gently cut to proper length and works just great. I have even took time to take a dremal and make one end smaller so it fits snug in the springs.(sometimes) But i have no idea where he got them.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
