I couldn't help but standby and watch a D4 get auctioned off on Huisman Auctions today. (Online auction).

I was wondering who purchased it. I am glad to see there are still buyers out there.

$4100.00 USD plus buyer fees and sales taxes.

I will admit it, my fat finger whacked the bid button once, twice, perhaps a few times, but I didn't want it to be an orphan.

The unique thing about it were the steel factory bolt on street shoes. They were not worn paper thin like the majority of the few offered for sale.

Congratulations to whoever bought it. JM

It was fun to bid on to say the least. Hopefully it wasn’t a friend that I bid against. Can’t save them all, and certainly don’t wish to own all of them.

Sometimes it’s more fun hauling someone else’s and earn some $ doing it. JM

Wash your mouth out JM, the aim has to be to “own all of them”!! Got to save as many as you can, that’s the goal..😂

Deebo - don't encourage him - he has to build the new "barn" to keep those freshly painted machines, show room clean and ready. - cts

Deeb: Each person is different. We have a non member friend that becomes "aroused" whenever a pile of junk is for sale (thank goodness its not yellow or gray). He has well over 100 machines, of which possibly, just maybe only 3-4 of them function. Everything else is a hulk in my eyes. Whatever goes on in his mind makes us all wonder, but it makes him happy to "hoard". Lucky for him he purchased a 30 acre farm just to stage his fleet.

By my own admission (and some others) this crawler collecting is like dipping your hand in the bowl of potato chips....you just can't have one! It has escalated to an unknown number here, no boasting; more than most and less than many others!

Online auctions are the vice of many here as well. Some like to fish, gamble, eat, travel etc. Me? It is the thrill of buying something that has the potential of earning income or just needs a safe and warm place to call home.

As time progresses, I think I will be donating some fixer uppers to local high schools to encourage the students and districts to continue on with ag programs and automotive technology etc.

Enough about myself. I want everyone out there to do something nice for yourselves, a loved one or even a complete stranger. Lots to be grateful for! JM

Well when the itch gets too strong 2 D 4's on Market place here in Paso area. One 7u with Cat dozer reduced to $3,500, could be junk, but ???? The other is a very nice looking D4D SA. Looks low hours with ROP's. The price is not stated, would like to trade for a skid steer. So he may be looking for pie in the sky.

No thanks. Too many here. My own D4D needs more exercise (less than 1500 hours on the clock). I’m sure someone that appreciates old iron will buy them.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
