Your parts contact should be more helpful than that. The controls are covered in the general parts catalog but the blade and parts are not. These are covered in a separate parts catalog covering your style of blade of which there are several. Most common on the D3 is the 3P version (power/angle-tilt) but there is also a straight blade, mechanical angle and LGP versions as well.
Along with your tractor model and serial number and a description of your blade the parts person should be able to match up the blade application and part numbers.
Sorry, I don't have the blade parts catalog in my collection.

Look on the R.H.side on back of blade. The parts book for a D3B will have all all the info under hydraulic system or implements.
Or call Cat dealer with serial # ,they can tell you.

thanks guys, the D3B has the standard 6 way blade. The parts guy I am dealing with is no help unless I have the part # ready for him before I call. I need to get a parts manual for the machine .

I suppose the D3B parts manual may be different but I have the manuals for the D3 79U and only the controls are covered...no implements.

Did you check your blade for a #? May be a 85u #.
Each cyl. should have a group # on it.
If you are dealing with a Cat parts man you need to talk to the store manager.

When you figure it out don't buy from Cat if that's the way they treat you. Try this source:

OK,
Think I figured out the parts book thing. Apparently you have to watch for the manuals that say bulldozer and list the bulldozers, rippers, etc. coverage. as opposed to those that just list the tractor and engine.
