Several years ago I had a link to a rather amazing video of a wheeled tractor with bucket and backhoe that loaded itself onto open-topped box-type railroad car. It was able to unload the car and then I think it could scoot over to the next car.

Has anyone else seen this and know where there might be a link to it?

Thanks,

I never saw one load itself on a box car but when the 416 Cat backhoe came out we had a field day at the dealer and a factory engineer was there and operated (demonstrated) one and he could walk it around by the bucket and backhoe which then amazed us all.

I've seen a guy load his backhoe into his 10 yard dump truck a few times. He pulls the tailgate and lays it in the box first, then puts the bucket in the box, lifts the front end and then uses the backhoe to scoot the rig in. His reasoning was that it was better than dragging a trailer around.

Mike, I'm pretty sure I have this video at home, I will try posting it later or I can send directly to you.

I've done this onto flatdecks and picker truck beds but nothing that high!
