Saw this advertised on CL as a 1950's D2. I have an early 50's D2 and it doesn't look much like this and the only spark plugs are on the pony motor.

i am shore its a 28,
(the re-designed 20 and 25 as base machine but with some new modifications) as the back of the seat has the chopped of corners, and the radiator sideplates have Caterpillar on it, ( radiator plates of the 20 and 25 had twenty and twenty five on them)

How about a mixture of parts. L/PL Twenty final drives by the sprocket cover, early L/PL engine lower side covers by the hooks for the early hood latches. Twenty Eight style engine by the later water pump and it looks like the radiator has Twenty Eight across the top take. Late Twenty Five/ Twenty Eight style seat and fenders. The fuel tank is also the Twenty Eight style as it uses no hold down straps like the L/PL Twenty does. The hood is also Twenty Eight style as it has the sliders and bolts at the back to attach it to the fuel tank, the P/PL used clips in this location that were spot welded to the hood. I can not remember what the Twenty Five had on the last two items as I have not looked at the parts book for the Twenty. Five in a couple of years That is just at a quick look
Thanks
Ken
