I dropped out of ACMOC 6 months or so ago, for various reasons. Didn't renew my membership, and thought it expired. Imagine my surprise when a new issue of the ACMOC magazine appeared in my mail yesterday...and the label says "DUES EXPIRE 12/31/2022". I'm pretty sure my membership expired about last June or so. So what gives? Free issue to get former members hooked again? Do I have a secret Santa that gifted me a membership? That would be a shock, it was more like don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out when I quit...
I'm sure I didn't pay for another subscription, and no charge has appeared on my card.
Had to change password to get signed in to this new site, which does look pretty nice, BTW...
So, what's up?

Don't know why you're looking this gift horse in the mouth : )
Could be a Secret Santa, you never know! : ) In any case, the website does look good although we're still working through the kinks, some of which can be annoying, but it's working its way out

Yes, I was sure that mine would terminate at the end of 2020, but I am not upset that they will extend it a tad to make adjustments for things.
Really,..? Why not be happy that one received and extra? My only concern is what the added cost to offset some of the memberships, but then, I am a follower, not one of the decision makers. It was likely explained somewhere. Be happy and enjoy. JM

Well, I don't want to take something I didn't pay for...last I knew the club was in a tight financial position, seems a waste to give a subscription to somebody who doesn't want it. I guess it is what it is...kinda thought one of the "decision makers" would chime in here.

Hi Ronm,
We have had some data issues since implementing the new website.
It appears that such an issue has resulted in us mailing you a magazine because the database showed you as an active member.
I can confirm that we did not receive a renewal subscription from you in the last 6 months.
Adco, the website developer are investigating.
In the meantime, please enjoy the free magazine, you are welcome to renew your membership at any time.

Yes I agree. The tech section is my favourite. Always great to get the straight scoop on tips to keep our old gals going! I really enjoy the magazine in general. The stories are great. Keep up the great work all that are involved.
