I’m curious what other Australian members are using when they need parts or attachments for smaller excavators. Do you normally go through the dealer, aftermarket suppliers, or look for used parts? I’m particularly interested in what’s worked well for rubber tracks, buckets and hydraulic attachments.

I would suggest try ITR for parts they do carry rubber tracks some bucket pieces (not sure on complete buckets), aftermarket if common machine, generally good aftermarket company can keep good quality, Above all depends if you will use all day everyday or a couple of days a year is the factor to consider when purchasing anything.

We put EIE buckets on Kubota excavators. They seem to handle the abuse fairly well.

Thanks for the tip. That makes sense, especially the point about how often the machine is used. I guess it really comes down to balancing quality with cost.

Good to know. How long have you been using the EIE buckets, and have they held up well over time?

We have been selling Kubota excavators for 6 years and the main branch that bought us has done excavators for alot more than that. They are the go to because of their reliability.

Depends which state your in , Most states have Bucket and attachment builders/suppliers. Here in Queensland there is Jaws and Digger.

Be wary of new buckets at auctions . Lot of Chinese manufactured ones out there that fall short . My old boss bought a new bucket at auction . First day on machine had cracked welds

For rubber tracks,a quick google search should bring up local suppliers .

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
