What's a cat 8u worth?

I found a cat 8u for sale really close to me. It has an awesome undercarriage on it. Hasn't ran in plly 15 years, but isn't stuck and overall is a pretty good looking dozer. It has a balderson dozer on it. I forgot to write the serial number down, but the new grousers would look good on mine 9u if I can get it cheap enough. Does the balderson dozer hurt it? Anyone have an in the ball park range what one is worth.

Locally prices for good running 9Us have been as high as $3500.00 for bare Ag tractors. Non runners and parts machines as low as $500.00 at auction. As my equipment dealers say, "its worth whatever someone is willing to pay". I would think that it would be worth something if it had all the goodies such as oil clutch, factory hydraulics, etc. Just my thoughts....JM😖py:😛eep:
