That style would be from the mid forties to 1960, maybe a little later. Decaling wouldn't be correct.

Other than paint color that would be 50;s until ................................... Does Cat still sell a bucket pump for rollers?
The earlier Alemite bucket type pumps Cat sold had a cast handle. I don't know if the base is cast or not but heavier duty looking. There are threads on the site about the very early grease pumps. One was a bucket on 3 legs with a hand crank rather than leaver like your showing.
I am just Glad we don’t have to lug those Cat Guns around anymore! That’s something from the good old days I can do without!!!

***I second that one Mr. 17A Farmer! I decided to lube my 1115 JD Killefer disc, along with a Goble drag disk, and my IH drag ridger, which were parked at my mothers farm in the center of town. Uggghhhh.... I thought to myself why someone did not invent a holder or such on an implement, so you would not have to lug that miserable thing around. The one I used, was the later style with the stamped handle, which I think is a little bit lighter than the cast handled one. They get lighter as you pump out the lube! LOL Glad I don't have to do this for a living anymore. JM***

Thank You for the replies. I was simply thinking a grey Caterpillar Bucket was like same has the tractor colour change in 1931 to yellow. Now I see your grey bucket with the Cat E Box logo.Question when was the Cat Logo E Box Used ? My Tripod Unit Actually has the same Oil Pump Gears as my Best 30 Engine Oil Pump. Found this out after remanufacturing New oil pump gears for back to a CLB Blue Print from Cat Inc

When did they stop making this model ?This Tripod Pump was Actually sent from Walley Adams in California as a Special Gift to myself a couple of years ago. So I decided 24ct Gold Leaf on the handle. After using 24 ct gold leaf on the C.L. Best Machine Project.I learn something new every day LOLSo what Model of Tripod Grease Pump do you Have ?If you don’t ask a Question, How can you expect an Answer Smile.Catman![]()
Hah! I wanted to say that looked like real gold leaf. My sign painter puts a protective coating on it, otherwise it will wear off? No cranking on that handle! JM
