Hey Team,

The rains have slowed us down the last two weeks, but looks like a week of fair weather in front of us now. Had Phil and Ponte Jr putting new shoes on this lady. Jr was bolting the pads on new SALT rails. Phil cleaned up and installed a good used sprocket. The tracks should be done tomorrow and the Team will go to the 3@18a's to get some better swing frames and idlers. Inch by Inch. Hi, Glen.
Winter blues????????????????? Or is it still Fall where you are? Our 'official' summer begins December 1 and most of our rain locally comes from summer thunderstorms. These usually start anywhere from early August on (late winter), our seasons being 'bass ackwards' from yours, but we haven't had many so far.

It's good to here that some progress is being made on the D9s. They should make quite a show at SM next year if all goes well.

Thanks for sharing.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Hey Team,

The track frames are done and put on. These are different frames that came with the Cat. Phil swapped out good rollers and put the best set of idlers on them from the triplets... Monday tracks get installed. Slowely I turned...Step by Step...Inch by Inch...

Damn Glen the 9 looks great. Are you going to name it perhaps Alex or Madonna since it was bought new by Alex Madonna for I believe either I 80 or the highway 50 project through the SIERRA Nevada mountains. It is great to see it coming back to life.

Glen,

I agree with Tom. "Alex" would be a great name for a fine looking D9! Phils done a nice job.

That undercarriage looks top notch Glen - something very satisfying about seeing new gear on an older tractor - must be the sense of giving it a new lease of life. Did it come with a blade and CCU?
