What year and model are these tractors?

I looked at 2 Caterpillars today that are supposed to be D4's. Can anyone tell me any info about these machines? Thank you!

Both wide gauge D4's, one early fifties the other mid fifties, no doubt someone else will be able to give a more accurate date.
