Hi, Wlf89.
If the part # starts with '089', I have my doubts that it is a Cat part, regardless of what wrapper it was in. It does look like a clamp but I suspect that it would more likely be an internal one than external due to the lack of paint.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Hi, Wlf89.

Sorry. My star-fupp. But that still does not sound like any Cat part # that I can remember. They pretty much all have 1 digit followed by a letter and then another 3 or 4 digits.

Hi Deas,
Cat does release part #s around 7 numeric, and no alphas. I've only ever seen them on Cat Classic parts that I've bought from Milton Cat but they might be moving them into mainstream. I have to order some parts next week so I'll my parts guy Doug what the lowdown is. Range of digit-alpha-digit-digit-digit-digit is 2.6 million - they might be getting close to exhausting that if not already.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
