Cletrac Model F
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
Hi, [email protected].
Built from about 1919 to about 1922 - the smallest crawler that Cletrac ever built and the only on with the 'string-of-pearls' track roller system - the 'roller's on a chain running inside the main track chain with no front idler or bottom rollers as in 'normal' crawlers.
Just my 0.02.
Seems like a total waste of machinery....WA7OPY

Hi, WA7OPY.
I am only guessing here but I suspect that the 'perpetrator' of this 'total waste of machinery' may have 'ackshully' OWNED it before he turned it into a letterbox stand so I guess he also had the right to do with as he saw fit, regardless of whether you agree or not.
Just my 0.02.
Pretty expensive mailbox stand.
Ray, are you thinking of the next project now that the Twenty-Two is all but done? : ) You know what they say; one is not enough, and a man needs a fleet if he's going big time 👍

Neil, I wish I could say that my 22 is all but done. You know what they say about the last 10% taking 90% of the time. As a reference point, it took me 16 years to complete the restoration of my 1967 Jaguar E-Type OTS. I must say that the wait was worth it, though. See photos below.![]()
Nice thing about that little F model is it will fit in the back of a 3/4 ton pickup.
No trailer required!
