That $7 spring in the shifter interlock took quite a bit of disassembly to repair. Thankfully Cat still has the springs for sale. I bought and replaced both so I would not ever have to get into it this far for hopefully a long time.

I had to remove the winch since I had to get into the bevel gear case to maneuver the pins that hold the shifter forks in place. Had to remove the fuel tank to get to the cover to access the front side of those pins. Had to drain coolant to remove the fuel tank (do you know why??) HA!
The interlock nubbins are press fit then staked in place. I had to discover this for myself. Ground off the staked part then pressed the plunger out. Repaired the fork hole where the plunger slides in and out, and had to build up one plunger where it wore instead of the hole it ran in. Added some weld metal to the pins to extend them back to original length, then peened the end that was staked. Pics show the peening.
Man it is a pain to get the forks and guides and brackets back in place with he bolts tight and locks bent over. Found out I could rotate it sideways and put one pin in the opposite fork so parts are aligned to tighten it up.
