Billy, that P/N appears to be a fan drive bracket for the 77V series D8K. However, it no longer shows up in the Cat Parts Store list. It may be a superseded design and part.
I'd have to peruse my NPR microfiche, it would possibly tell us a little more - but it's too late tonight, for me to do that! I can look tomorrow.

6N0743 must be the casting number, the part number is 6N0744. Part of the 6N0941 fan drive group.
Limited to engine 17S1 to 17S2670 only.
Changed to a 6N7678 @ engine s/n 17S2671.
