Correction I think a Diesel Forty. Looks to be a three cylinder.

Yep, definitely a 3 cylinder with the water pump tight up against the pony and the distinct 3-ported exhaust manifold. Love the old split front idlers on it too!

As it sits it is a Diesel 40 unless a field change up kit has been installed. The Diesel 40 also used the air cleaner mounded to the diesel engine intake manifold like the 35 but if you look closely in this picture the carburetor is a Zenith not the Ensign used on the Diesel 35s and early Diesel 40s. There was a feild change up kit to change the Ensign to the Zenith and used the same air cleaner. I do not have my parts books here but if I remember the late Diesel 40s used the air cleaner mounted on top of the starting engine carb.
