I was counting on the world ending yesterday 😆😆😆 so I never got around to putting up my Christmas lights this year. I moved the D2 into the front yard today and started wrestling with the #)!?$*@ tangled mess of lights. Finally got it done although half of one string isn't hapnin'. :confused2:

Rich, to save the troubles of the tangled light strands, you could just light luminarias all the way around (candles in paper bags weighed down with sand in the bottom. The trouble will then be refilling the fire extinguisher everytime some oil pool or diesel drip catches. 😆

I hope you enjoy the Christmas weekend. Any snow worth mobiling on up there? The CPHQ is a dry as can be. The little bit we received is all but melted away.

YEAH! 😆
I'm a little PO'd that the world didn't end!
I converted all my assets into Gold (well ok if I had any assets!)
I drove 600 miles to my fortified bunker up North (well I would have if I had a place!)
I had my stock piled food and liquid supplies all ready (OK, does a 6 pack and 4 packages of microwave popcorn count?)
I had my Firearm and Ammo already (Does a rusty 22 and 4 cartridges from the 1960's count?)
I even bought deluxe extra thick tin foil for my radiation shield (ALL RIGHT! I bought that for the roast turkey on Christmas Day!)
👋
Have a Safe and Merry Christmas! 👍

Hey Gang,

Out in Petaluma, California we made it safely. So at 2:00 am the next morning an electrical storm passes over. Man was there some tremblers packing a punch. I can usually sleep in any situation, but this one woke me also. So my daughter calls me the next morning, and says "Dad, I tought the world really was going to end. Oh S--t, It's really ending now." ROFLMAO. What a crack up. Oh well, we will have to wait until the next deadline. When is the world supposed to end next? -glen

Thanks Bruce! No Snow here in the 'Zoo. Grand Rapids and north got some Lake-effect snow the other day but I was up there yesterday and it's all gone.

As a kid growing up my family always had Snowmobiles and we belonged to a few different Snowmobile Clubs and rode all over (at the age of 14 I got my Snowmobile Safety Certificate from the Kalamazoo County Sheriff). A couple years ago I got the bug to get a sled myself. Found an old '78 Yamaha GP338 like the one we had. It was in nice shape for it's age. I took the thing around my yard and neighborhood for about 1/2 hour and realized,...IT'S FREAKIN' COLD OUT HERE. Sold the GP338 a few days later.😆😆
I'll stick to my Couch and 'Puter Chair this winter.....😛op2:

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
