It getting close but it seems 2 steps forward and 1 back.....I have have a few little snags, bad gov bearings, forgot to order the right parts for the fuel pump, and this weekend oil filter problems. I have 2 engines 1 parts and the good one, both had fouled up oil filters. One was a bypass type and the other was ( I thought) a full flow. Well both had been farmerrized , the bypass was dumping way to much oil back into the pan. (Had been modified by a idiot.) The full flow was missing the lower plate so the filter was worthless. I machined the missing plate and thought I was good to go only to find out the lower can seal is a cat only part. ( That is 3 days away). At that point I converted the base into a spin out, full flow type filter using a p/n 1970 napa filter for a 8v71 jimmy, work out read good, just had to machine the base flat and make a threaded 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 spud. The only down side is now I have to buy a 30.00 filter instead of a 8.00 one. Will have to stock up on the 1/2 price sale they have Got to try out the electric starter, works good makes 30 psi oil pressure at cranking speed. Then I started the pony engine to see how the cranking speed is between the electric and the pony....well the pony broke a valve spring so I have something else to fix. Maybe next weekend, I only have to set the injector pressure and bleed the fuel system I hope.....WA7OPY
There used to be a set of instructions for disassembling and setting the high pressure injectors posted on the board. Maybe edb posted them?
