Thanks for the notice Erik, very sad to hear to hear, prayers to the family. Gary
Wow is all I can say...
Reading that Ken had passed, what really is important became evident, life is unpredictable, and it should be appreciated for all that it is worth. Let us remember Ken in our thoughts and wish all in his family and friends well.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
Hi, Folks.
That is one SAD loss. I met Ken at the ACMOC National at Santa Margarita last year - one very impressive man, full of life and enthusiasm.
Quote:
"I guess he and Glenn are really having fun together once again."
Unquote.
Could it be that they are both sitting up there somewhere laughing and shaking their heads at all of us for taking life so seriously when NONE of us know when it will all be over for us.
My condolences to Ken's family and friends. May we all celebrate having known him and/or his enthusiasm for the 'fever' rather than mourn his departure.
Just my 0.02.
I am shocked and saddened to hear of Ken's passing. I have the fondest memories of setting in a small pub having a beer after the banquet at the last national show in Carthage. a small group, Ken, Glen Ghilotti, Tom Madden, and Kent Bates besides myself. The stories that were told around that table by them great folks still remain vividly in my mind. My prayers are with Ken's family at this difficult time.
Very Sad news, I enjoyed talking with Ken on the few occasions we had the opportunity, My heartfelt prayers to Patty and the Family.
Erik,
Shock and disbelief are what I'm feeling reading this. Ken and Patti opened up their place once a year to share they're collection and passion for antique equipment. I remember the first year we brought our tractors as a club. Not many of us brought machines but Ken was thrilled and invited us back every year. I will never forget his generosity, especially when he let us operate that D9G the first year. I never in my life thought I would ever have a chance to operate one! It was easy walking around with Ken and talking about all his treasures. We were like kids in a toy store! Trading stories about how we acquired certain things. Ken had the largest tractor collection in North America but he was just like most of us, humble, friendly and would give you the shirt off his back. I'm proud to have known him and called him "Friend" I will never forget him or all the joy he and Patti brought to so many folks over the years. God Bless Him...and see Patti through this heart wrenching time.
My deepest condolences to Patti and their employees and to the Chapter 12 members.

Erik and the Chapter 12 folks,
I too was shocked to hear of Ken's passing!
Like Deas, I had met Ken two years ago at the Santa Margarita Show in 2016. We talked a bit and found we had common roots, as in our early years we had both lived in western upstate New York. As I remember, Ken's family lived very close to "TimT" with the D8H winch tractor near Gowanda. The following year, I was seated at the banquet with an empty chair to my left. I was concentrating on the conversation to my right and across the table until something was said about a rare make of truck, one of which was on display at the show. I made mention that one was in a collection near Erik's down in North Carolina. A guy had slipped into the empty chair next to me who I did not recognize and overheard me talking. He replied "Is that so?" It took me a few seconds to realize that was Ken Eder sitting beside me and it was he who had that truck in his collection. I was highly embarrassed at that point but Ken of course laughed and took no notice of my ignorance. That incident will be how I will remember him.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.
