HELP!!!!!!!

I think i really screwed up this time.I was playing in the creek with the old cat and suddenly she started sinking down and when she stopped the water was almost over the starter.I ran the engine for a short time and then pulled out the dip stick ,she had lots of water in the oil.I pulled her out with a track hoe and drained the oil pan and the clutch.I'm now getting ready to try and clean up the engine but my clean up procedure may not be the correct one.I'm worried the engine could have pulled in some sand along with the water.I thought i would leave the drain plug out and pour 5 gallions of kerosene in the engine to flush it out.I would then change filters and fill with a thin oil
5w30 and add some kerosene, then start the engine ,cover the radiator and let run at idle until the engine got somewhat above normal temp.,then change filters again and fill with the correct oil.Any thoughts on this is appreciated.

I would just see if you get any foreign material out when you drain the contaminated oil. If not, skip the kerosene flush. You can always open up the inspection covers on the side of the engine and do a proper clean out if you find any evidence of sand etc. I doubt you will in the situation you describe. Water most likely came in through the front main seal.

When you refill it, I would just use a cheaper oil, NOT dilute it with kerosene and then run it keeping an eye on the condition of the oil by pulling the dipstick occasionaly Fresh water is going to be easier on the oil/lubrication qualities than antifreeze, so I think you'll be OK to run it enough to get it good and warm before draining the second time.

You might want to start by removing the valve covers and clean up everything up there before you start it up on the first oil change after the initial drain out. I have seen the "mousse" of water contaminated oil pile up in the valve covers pretty thick and actually need wiping out with a rag to get it out. While you have the valve covers off, you can adjust the valves and look things over in there.
