Hey Team,

I would also like to Thank our Veterans. Today I will honor a few local Veterans by giving them rides in our 3 Tanks in a Parade in Petaluma, Ca. If any local Vets can make it, come introduce yourself and I would be honored to put you on board. Thank You for our Freedom. Thank You for your Service. :usa2::usa2::usa2:

I the willing,
Have lead the un-knowing,
to do the impossible,
with nothing.
I have done so much,
for so long,
with so little,
I'm now qualified to do anything!

US Army NCO Corps.

Guys, here is my take on things. Ain't nothing cept a thing. We, us Veterans, followed our path in life. Some for a job skill. Some for an education. Some for a job, some who were drafted and others because we believed in what we were doing. No big deal to most of us I guess. While we appreciate the thanks and acknowledgment it really isn't necessary.

Me? I'm going to a school Veterans program because my 9YO granddaughter begged me, then I will pick up a couple of sheets of plywood and some hardware and go home and work on a couple of projects. I darn sure ain't gonna go stand in line for hours for a free meal! I learned 2 things while serving. 1. Never volunteer for anything! 2. I hate standing in lines!

I am with old tanker in that I appreciate the thanks but I also do not feel like I did anything really great - I was "just another guy".

I spent just short of 4 years in the USAF - February 1964 to October 1967. I was in Viet Nam - '66 to '67 (a radio maintenance type - E4) at the last of my enlistment. I was fortunate at the time because when you forcast for your next assignment, at the time, if anyone had 4 months or less left in their enlistment, you could select an early out so I did. It was considered a convenience of the the government...

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
