I see in my D24U parts book a "Valve Grind Gasket Set" part # 2H5082 Does anyone know what is all included with this kit?

I assume all gaskets needed to re-install the head. Head gasket, t-stat housing gaskets, rubber o-rings, etc.

Catsteve,

What part number did you use to get that gasket set? And what did it cost?

Thanks,

John

Here's a picture of the contents of a kit I bought from Cat last year... everything you need is here, and a few you don't need... there were some I didn't recognize.. could be for marine or gen set applications.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
