Hi, Folks.
I have very recently met up with two pretty popular and helpful past members of the club whom some of the older members here may remember. A couple of the older members have even enquired if any of the Australian members have heard anything of them. So here it is.

Both Swishy/Ted Beamish and Eddie Bedwell/EddieB are still on the topside of the lawn and in good health. Swishy is still working in his heavy haulage business and Eddie is retired but can't stop getting dirt-n-grease under his fingernails helping various people with various 'projects'.

Both send their regards to old friends.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Thank you for the update Deas.
I had wondered what had happened to them. I recall that Eddie in particular has an encyclopaedic knowledge of all things Cat. His contributions to the forum were sorely missed. Could you persuade him to get involved again?

Hi, John.
I did ask him about that. He said he had been thinking about it but hadda worry that he might kark it part way through somebody's project and leave them hanging.

I sorta expect to see him again, maybe a cuppla times over the next 6 weeks or so and I plan on telling him that if he does kark it part way through somebody's project, I don't think anybody will come looking for him to kill him for letting them down.

But, people being what they are, I don't think I can guarantee that.

sadly not everyone is willing to pass on their knowledge as eddie and ted have been previously and it dies with them. i hope they do decide to contribute once again.

"i reject your reality and substitute my own" - adam savage. i suspect my final words maybe "well shit, that didnt work"

instead of perfection some times we just have to accept practicality
