Does anyone know if it is safe to run this stuff in old hydraulic systems??? I have a Cat D4 5T and I think the previous owners just ran 30 wt oil in the hydraulic system. My cat has a front mounted hydraulic pump on it.

I keep seeing this stuff for sale & I have been curious about it. It claims to have rust, corrosion & oxidation inhibitors...so I believe it is yellow-metal friendly.

Right now, until the 31st of July, it is on sale at TSC for $24 for 5 gallons. For that price, if it will work, I might just stock up on it.

Are there other fluids that will work...or fluids that I should avoid. I'm assuming that the hydraulic systems aren't real picky...but you know what they say about assuming 😞

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
