On my way back from a working road trip, I made an impromptu visit to Skinner's.... I was quite impressed!
What a neat shop set-up! Restored tractors (sweeeeet!) works in progress, toys, pictures, signs and other CAT stuff. After shooting the breeze, I almost forgot I came over to pickup my parts. LOL!!! I definitely need to work on my hobby. Hope you don't mind Jon, you can shoot me later, but yours surely is worth sharing.
Thanks for the tour. JuiceMan

Skinner,

You still have lots of room in the shed for more toys! Nice setup. I need to take you up on your offer and stop by some time.

Hey Team,

Warning... Warning... Warning...
Skinner is always polite and quite at shows. He is always listening and just smiles... Be aware he is up to no good. He is on recon missions to prey on our tractors. Even Crawler Dollars is calling him a "Buddy"... :laser:... Skinner acts like a friend, then cuts a secret deal behind your back, then gets in his transport vehicle that is designed not to be seen in the dark of the night to slip the tractor out the back door unnoticed...:bolt:... leaving us Cat Collectors with a Cake in the Face...:caked:... he will stop at nothing to get his "Man Cave" turned into the ultimate "Cat Cave"...

JuiceMan is it located just beyond the Southern Boundry?

Everyone be Warned... get armed and be ready for his nightly attacks...:laser::laser::laser:

Well you asked for it here's a few pictures I am most proud of the Holt bros magazine with my Dad and grandfathers picture and article about them in 1964 when they purchased a brand new D6C and no I don't have the 6C dad ran it a few years and traded it in on a certified rebuilt 14a D8 My small collection is not near what others have but l do have room to grow!

Oh and by the way thanks to Glen:boink::boink:::now I am looking for a black transam like smokey & bandit had for a decoy !!!

[quote="Garlic Pete"]You are right. That article is just too neat. Now we need to help you track down that D6C, so you can park it in front of the article!

Very neat stuff. Thanks for sharing with us.

Great idea. Stuff keeps coming home; Jan's D8 aka "Old Dick", the Valley View 40 Scraper my way; Skinner: any record of the serial # on the D6C? Tracking old iron is always fun.....always nice to know the former owners and history of iron whether it is still working or not. JM

Ok juice man so now you got me looking for the D6 in the article. We have no record of the serial number but I called my dad and he told me after holt bros. took it on trade they sold it to a ranch about 7 miles from me in merced. I think they sold there equipment a few year ago but I'll be checking on it soon maybe they know where it went or the serial number

Skinner,

As I looked in your toy display, I found quite a few there that could also be in mine if I had such a thing. I guess I better get busy. Your Doepke D6 has way better paint than mine but as a kid, I did a lot of earthmoving with mine. My uncle bought it for me in Fresno in 1952. It was my favorite toy as a kid!

You might check with Holt. They may have a record of the Serial Number. Best of luck in your search. We'll be here waiting to hear how you do.

Skinner,
Your Man Cave looks ever so neat, and a nice collection of Cats and models too.
