ibrich, there is no dipstick on the 2 ton, but you check the oil level by opening a drain tap on the lower left hand side of the engine and when the oil come's out of the tap is the correct oil level.

Originally there were 2 drain taps on the left side of the sump, but most / many 2 Tons just have 2 threaded plugs in there now and you just need to make sure your oil level is between the 2 plugs, and yes, fill the oil through that large cap just in front of the water pump. The transmission and final drives uses the same oil as the motor, usually a straight 30W or 40W low detergent oil.

I was Told ,The Idea of the two level bungs was ,Because of fuel diluting the oil . At the end of each day ,Drain the oil out to the low level , then top back up to the high level with fresh oil .
