That will sure beat an old dirt slip and a team of horses!!
I have an old one in the junk pile that I will post a picture tomorrow. They are simple to operate once you understand how they operate.
Spent many hours on a tractor around the farm moving dirt with one. Handy if you don't have to move the dirt very far.
Here in the Midwest, if you had a welder and a torch you could build a tumblebug. Many came from small weld shops back in the 30's to 50's.
No hydraulics needed.
it looks like Loma dragging a tumble bug........oh you mean what brand...lol

Here are some photos of old one I have. "It worked when it was parked". :biggrin1:
As it sits, it is just past the cutting position. No idea as to manufacturer.![]()

Picture #4 is a couple of old slip scrapers. As a kid I had quite a bit of flight time when one of those hit a rock or tree root. Not the best way in the world to meet up with a horse's butt. It was however, softer than meeting the back end of a tractor.
Hi Team,
Tumbling Tommy, Fresno and many other names for the working animal powered pan scraper--a pair of Australian Bullocks at work with one.

Eddie, I think this is the video you wanted using the "dirt slip" or whatever they called them and the Bullocks at work.
Thanks for posting Toby's video of the real tumblebug in operation. Looks exactly like the old one I have.
