Trying to find low cost shipping for DW10

Hi, I’ve been looking for a cat DW10, 15 or 20, in good condition to restore, in my area (west coast) for the last 10 years, with no luck, I recently found a DW10 in decent condition in the Midwest. However because of the price I find myself in a position of being able to afford to buy it or ship it but not both. I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure an economical ways to get it out here before it’s sold, I remembered that ACMOC is hosting the tractor show in Santa Margarita Ca. this coming summer, which is only about an 60 miles from my house and that when ACMOC hosted the Tulare show in Ca. years ago there were a number of members who brought their Cats out to the show with partial loads so as to have room to take back tractors they bought while they were here. So I was wondering if anybody might be doing something like that or knew of anybody who was, for the show this summer, that I might be able to work out a deal with. Holy Molly. It would take a pretty good truck to have a DW 10 as a part load. Size is pretty much going to fill the truck. If a person can get it out there on some of the trucking forums and not being in a hurry you may find a lowboy looking for a backhaul. None of them trucks run cheep thou.

call some of the heavy haul companies around and see if they have a truck coming your way, if your not in a big hurry .
i have had some of my equipment moved this way and saved a bunch of money..

Try talk to your rail people at where you find one .. I had a 40ft box railed from Kansas to CA few years back ,,$600 loading and drop off included .. a very good deal I recon .. Our rail here in Aussie Qld where I live is totally finished, except for some coal!! .. Just beyond belief that they let the unions destroy it totally here .. unions and dumb pollies ..
