you have to pull the pump in the front in order to get the shaft out to replace the belt. Or you could cut it and replace it with a link belt because you can tighten the belt with the pulley.

Where is the best place to order a link belt for the D-4?
A lot of guys use Mcmaster Carr. You have to know the top width and then order the length.

I will check them out. Thanks, Dave
Maybe someone will correct me if I'm wrong... If you loader is on a 7U D-4 chassis it will most likely have a #44 two valve pump. I was able to change the fan belt on my 7U by unbolting the pump drive flange from the lower fan belt pulley and pry the shaft forward enough to slip a new belt through.
