With the age and not knowing how the tubes are[rotted/thin] best to replace it, good insurance.
Thanks Rome it was a rough one....
Two cores, 8S3637 and 1S6762, about $1,200 looking at Regal's prices.
Thanks Old Magnet.... I went ahead and ordered them... Not going to chance it going to drain engine oil as it is needed and replace both coolers.... Just want some damn seat time.... I know I will get there just being a little bit impatient at this point...
I went ahead a changed out temp gauge to a single gauge Cat of course...
I only have what I believed to be a transmission gauge but upon further inspection it is attatched to the torque converter... Any idea why I do not have both? Just trying to make sure we are all set once I put the new coolers back in.....I cleaned up real good the torque converter and transmission under the floor boards... I was planning on dropping the underbelly pans to get that good and cleaned out and tidy.... I did it for the engine and it was a mess... The last thing I don't want is a fire after all this.... And yes I have a fire extinguisher.... It looks like the belly pan for the transmission and torque converter is hinged at the rear... Mine seems to be broken as the center of the belly pan is missing and the rear bolts is broken at where it would hinge... Oh the joys of D9G ownership... I love her but it has been a rough one....
There is a few different oil coolers over the years, make sure you get the right one.
Old magnet had the right part#'s and I looked up in my parts book.... Pretty crappy but its at least 50 years old... Be careful dont clean just replace if you have issues on yours....
