Hi,
what are the differences between #1w0701 or #1w0702 trans temp gauge?
What is correct for 951 69h2969 ?
Thanks to all!

My assorted bits of info (sometimes right) shows the 01 gauge to be an engine temperature gauge with a 73" capillary tube. the 02 gauge listed as a converter oil temp. gauge with 118" capillary tube. Both have same temperature scale. I'm pretty sure these are replacement gauge numbers and probably wouldn't match what was in the 69H originally but I don't have that parts manual to check. Thought you would have acquired a parts book by now.

Hi OM! thanks for the answer ...
you're right! I'm looking for a "CATERPILLAR 951C PARTS BOOK s/n 69H1869-UP " but I have not found anything here in Italy.
I ask this question because my shovel mounts 1w0702 but my dealer offered me the 1w0701.
I do not know which is more correct to purchase.

Get the right one, they have symbols for the liquid they measure. A circle with a square on top is engine and a thermometer means engine water/coolant temp.
A gear with a thermometer means trans oil temp. Their temp ramge is different.

Happen to have a picture of the 1W0701 (only). Can't trust info on gauges, best to see for yourself. Make sure you get the right capillary tube length.

Pete, that Symbol is an international language. The gear means transmision, thermometer means temp and the circle with a droplet means oil. Engine symbol is a circle with square on top/end view of engine block, two inward arrows for pressure a thermometer for temp and a droplet for oil or blue and ripples on top for coolant. Hyd uses a cyl and thermometer for temp.

The problem with "universal" is it often fits nothing.
The gauge pictured, does say converter oil temp.

Gauge info and pre-combustion chamber info seems to be about the most screwed up info out there.

Cat951
Check with Cat for their legendary literature reprints.
Parts Books listed are 69H1869 - 69H2519
Then 69H2520-up Form # UEH00848S (148 pages)
Then 69H3678-up Form # HEBP1106 (252 pages and includes engine info 48V12436-up).

Sorry Pete, By universal I meant able to understand if you don't read English, not that they would always fit anything.
