Hello everyone,
Just was given 15 gal. of Benz oil grade 8A gear lube. Would this oil be ok for the rollers on my 60 Cat and D7-37. I think it would be fine.
Any suggestions?

Find the manufacturers website, do a cross compatibility check.
This way you will have the Answer to your Question, not someone else opinion!

Have never heard of what lube was used in 60 rollers, but for more modern CATs, gear lube would not fit the spec for either the old greaseable or the new lubed for life style.

Might be a great time to change transmission and final drive fluids!

D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄
