I think I found the correct number[ 2F42] for the broken track adjuster nut for my D4 serial # 7U 19643.Does any one know where I might find a new one? The picture I have also shows a "plug # 2651- A" that looks like it goes in front of the big adjuster nut and the Idler arm, anyone know what that is for? My picture is really grainy and not a lot of detail, thanks.

Don, I had the track adjuster nuts off my D2 the other day and noticed that one of those plugs had rusted through. I didn't repair it but I believe that it is just a common welsh plug, put there to try and prevent dirt filling up the front part of the nut.

regards, Robert

I got a price from Cat here in Australia for those nuts for my D2, "only" $300 each, so I got my Fitter and Turner neighbour some thick rod and he turned me up new ones in about 90 minutes.

Florin Tractor will have new ones I expect, though your part number sounds too short.

Mike
