Wanted to have someone confirm that the way I have the Mag installed on this pony motor is correct.

Mike, that shot is good enough to put in the manual! : ) Now, just check you have solid core plug wires, new condenser, get the plug wires on the right plug, clean the points, check the grounding switch is open, and you'll have a big fat blue spark
