D47U. I changed the air cleaner from the oil bath/sieve to Cat dry element. Throttle linkage changed dramatically. Are the linkages available that I need, or do I start from scatch and hand-make one? If so, what is the size of tubing that I should use, etc.?

thanks for your help.

Don,
I do not know what parts are available for your particular tractor but after refurbing my D9G linkages I would recommend going to a breakers yard and you should be able to get eneogh rod and linkages etc. You may have to buy new rose joint ends but the rest can be welded up and drilled out to bring back to standard. You should be able to get eneogh info from parts books or if some one was able to post photos of their machine!

Try Cleveland Bros. Cat Dealer there in your area and it seems they should have some to fix you up. Cleveland Bros. bought out Beckwith Cat dealer a couple years ago. and looking in my book here it shows a shop in Murrysville and Delmont and Blawnox and Cranberry Twp. and Indiana and also Somerset Pa. in your area.I don,t have the Ph.numbers for any of them but your Ph. book would have them I,d think.Let me know how you make out. I worked for Cleveland Bros. here at their Wilkes Barre branch for 36 years but retired the end of 1991.
