But not always. I have looked on several which had the brass plates missing and no stamp showing where Jeff indicates. I think some were stamped and others not. I stand to be corrected but that is my experience.

Jail this be a serial number or a date stamp can you post a picture of where it is I’ve found a number behind back cylinder looks to be a date
