I had a chance this past week to go to the Tulare Farm Show now called the World Ag Expo. I believe this is the largest show of its kind covering 200 acres and 1500 vendors. It runs for three days, with a total of 100,000 visitors and you cannot cover it in one day. They have a permenant Ag Education Center and display with maybe 25 antique tractors.

I met John from Fresno for lunch and he claims there was a Ten in the antique display but somehow I missed it.

The Gray Tractor had a single drum as its drive wheel. Must have been a handful to turn.
The Holt 75 belongs to Jack Nikkel of California.
The Komatsu was 354 horses and 96,000 lbs
The GK machine is used to dig nursery trees.

For the record, I tried to post the pics in a different order but the program has a mind of its own. The three antique tractors were posted as a 3 picture group but did not get posted together?? G

What the heck are the machines in the third pictures? Have not ever seen any like that in my travels. Orchard maybe?

old-iron-habit,

Those machines are used for topping and hedging orchards. Thirty years ago they got started in citrus but have since gotten taller and wider and are now doing almonds, walnuts, pistachios and just about anything that gets in their way. The saws are 24 to 36" and turn at 3000 rpm. The cross that they are mounted on is adjustable but commonly runs 50 rpm. I use 2 of the smaller versions for citrus. G
